Last year, seven AI pilot projects were organized in various education sectors, with the NL AIC playing a facilitating role. These pilots were conducted by educational institutions and startups, and focused on improving educational quality with AI applications. Today we are happy to share the valuable experiences, results and lessons learned from these pilots.
The pilots took place in different education sectors, ranging from primary education to universities, and each focused on a unique application of AI. This diversity has given us valuable insights into how AI can improve education and the challenges involved. Whether it is the integration of AI tools in the classroom, the collaboration between startups and educational institutions, or the handling of data, privacy and security issues, the experiences of the parties involved offer a wealth of information.
In the AI Magazine, you can read in detail about what it takes to integrate AI into education. In addition, two teachers involved share their personal experiences from these pilots, which provides a unique perspective on the practical application of AI in education.
The magazine was made possible by the core team of our Education Working Group, consisting of: Jeroen Visscher (Turner), Julia van Wijk (Turner), Bertine van Deyzen (SURF), Duuk Baten (SURF), Imane Oulali (MBO Raad), Nico Boot (Leiden University) and Kim Schildkamp (University of Twente).
