Board

Willem Jonker, Chairman of the Board

Prof. Dr. Willem Jonker brings a broad background in ICT. He has worked at KPN Research, the European Computer Industry Research Centre in Munich, and Philips Research, where he served as Vice President. As the former CEO of EIT Digital in Brussels, he has extensive experience in building European innovation ecosystems. In addition, he is a part-time professor at the University of Twente.

Saskia Vlaar, Board Member

Saskia Vlaar, MSc, is an econometrician with extensive managerial and administrative experience in the private and semi-public sectors, including at KPN, TNO, and Shell. Her work focuses on the innovative transformation of a sector or part of an ecosystem. She also holds various supervisory positions, including on the Supervisory Boards of SURF, PwC, and Emixa, and is a member of the Supervisory Board of the Northwest Hospital Group.

“I am convinced that realizing transformation based on a systems technology like AI is primarily people work. And from this perspective, I am eager to dedicate myself to AIC4NL and its ambitions.”

Supervisory Board

The Supervisory Board of the AIC4NL Foundation is responsible for overseeing the policy of the executive board. In addition, the Supervisory Board acts as a sounding board for the executive board.

The Supervisory Board consists of the following members:

The Strategic Advisory Council (STAR) consists of the following members:
