After all the U.S. and Chinese AI violence: 100 to 500 billion for Stargate and the launch of China's DeepSeek, Europe seems to be realizing that real work on a European AI industry is now needed. The EU Competitive Compass in response to the Draghi report sets out an agenda for plans to see the light of day over the next two years. Hopefully this will finally get the European AI train moving and get serious about building a European AI industry. Because making plans is one thing, implementing plans is only the real work.
