Together with consortium partner Alliance for Language Technologies - ALT-EDIC, AIC4NL is involved in the creation of the OpenEuroLLM project. This initiative focuses on the development of open-source and European Large Language Models (LLMs), which contribute to Europe's digital sovereignty.
With a focus on open and transparent AI, OpenEuroLLM offers companies and organizations the tools to deploy LLMs responsibly. AIC4NL represents the Netherlands within ALT-EDIC, supported by TNO, and is working to make OpenEuroLLM a success for the Netherlands. We have also been able to support the participation of SURF and Technische Universiteit Eindhoven within this top consortium.
With this step, we are putting the Netherlands on the map as an important player in European AI development. By actively participating in building responsible and transparent AI, we not only strengthen Europe's digital sovereignty, but also create opportunities for Dutch organizations to deploy AI on their own terms.
