How can you use AI responsibly in HR?
Following the joint Community Call organized by the Talent, Knowledge, and Skills (TKV) and Values, Standards, and Regulations (WNR) working groups, we are hosting an in-person Ethics Roundtable on the responsible use of AI within the HR field.
During the previous Community Call, it became clear that there are still many questions surrounding high-risk AI applications in HR. These include topics such as compliance, governance, and the practical implementation of responsible AI use in recruitment, selection, and talent development applications. Through the Ethics Roundtables, we want to explore these issues in greater depth together.
In an interactive setting, we bring together professionals, developers, HR specialists, and policymakers to share experiences, dilemmas, and insights. The goal is to learn from and with one another and to work together to develop concrete “best practices” for the responsible use of AI in the HR field.
Key topics discussed during the Ethics Roundtable include:
- Meaningful human intervention: What is the appropriate role of humans in decisions supported by high-risk AI applications?
- Fairness: How Can You Prevent Bias and Discrimination in AI-Driven HR Processes?
- Explainability: How can you make AI decisions understandable to candidates, employees, and HR professionals?
The Ethics Roundtable is organized by Area Leaders Marloes Roelands (Talent, Knowledge, and Skills) and Frans van Bruggen (Values, Standards, and Regulations) and will take place on Wednesday, July 1, at LTP Business Psychologists in Amsterdam.
