The AI Safety Report

Every third Thursday of the month, the Values, Standards, and Regulations working group hosts a Community Call. The upcoming Community Call will focus on theInternational AI Safety Report 2026. The report was compiled under the leadership of Yoshua Bengio with the input of more than 100 experts. It provides a scientific foundation for policy regarding general-purpose AI.

What are we discussing?

The report shows that GPAI is developing at breakneck speed, with significant advances in reasoning capabilities and applications, but also that an increasing number of technical and institutional tools are becoming available to manage risks and prevent misuse. On Thursday, March 19, we will discuss the key findings and implications of this report during the Community Call.
