General purpose AI (GPAI) in practice: How can you use ChatGPT, Gemini, Le Chat, and Claude responsibly?

Area of work: Values, Standards, and Regulations

More and more organizations are working with General Purpose AI such as ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Le Chat, or Claude. These foundation models offer great opportunities, but also raise fundamental questions. Does your use of GPAI comply with the AI Act and the Code of Practice? Does the model act in line with European values? And how do you ensure responsible application in practice?

In this session, you will take a practical approach to these questions. You will receive guidance on purchasing foundation models and developing applications on top of GPAI. We will also discuss when you yourself are considered a provider, for example when developing a recruitment chatbot or a diagnostic tool in healthcare, and what that means for your responsibilities.

Who is this relevant for?
For compliance officers, IT managers, purchasers, and legal advisors at organizations that actively use or integrate GPAI.
