2024 was a year in which artificial intelligence was not only in the spotlight, but also took on a larger role in our society. From the wide adoption of language models like ChatGPT to the growth of 750 AI startups in the Netherlands to the recognition of the Netherlands as a global leader in responsible AI development, this year showed how our world is changing with AI.
Mutual connection and cooperation
At the Dutch AI Coalition, we are proud of what we have achieved together. With 7 AI hubs, 20 working groups, almost 500 participating organizations and many colleagues, we worked hard on the human-centered and responsible development of AI in the Netherlands. Together with our partners, we initiated projects such as the National AI Challenge, launched the AI Regulation Roadshow and created interconnections through events such as the Dutch AI Congress and the Month of AI in Education.
But we did much more. For this, we would like to thank all involved immensely! In five years, the NL AIC has built a valuable network that strengthens, facilitates and accelerates new collaborations. In this way we can jointly make an impact and solve societal challenges, because this is desperately needed.
The way forward
In 2025, we will take a new path: we will continue together with AiNed as the AI Coalition for the Netherlands (AIC4NL). In doing so, we hope to continue the current active mutual cooperation with you and add value to society.
